Purpose of research: Applied research
The toxic and sensitizing potential of complex mixtures of substances, which can migrate from consumer products to skin, are studied in human cell cultures (primary keratinocytes, dendritic cells). Methods for determination of reference parameters (e.g. cellular protein con-tent per culture) and the simultaneous measurement of different biochemical/toxicological endpoints have to be advanced.
