Project code: JKI-GF-08-1154
Contract period: 01.07.2012 - 31.12.2013
Budget: 11,208 Euro
Purpose of research: Inventory & Assessment

Norway rats with genetic based anticoagulant resistance are wide spread. Until now resistance factor against different anticoagulants is not well known, although necessary for the effective management. The proposed study shall provide data, which can be introduced to the German Resistance Action Committee 'Fachausschuss Rodentizidresistenz' at the Julius Kuehn-Institute in order to build the base for sound recommendations. The results will be useful for resistance management strategies worldwide. The necessary resistance analysis of Norway rats will be performed at the JKI, Münster.
