Purpose of research: Applied research
Descriptions of phenological growth stages of plants are widely used in agricultural research and practice, botany, meteorology, climatology and by agricultural insurance companies. They have been described since 1979 and provided with a decimal coding system. The descriptions of the growth stages serve inter- and intradisciplinary international communication and co-operation of research, administration and practice.
