Project code: JKI-A-08-1214
Contract period: 01.12.2014 - 30.06.2015
Purpose of research: Applied research

Clubroot, caused by Plasmodiophora brassicae, is a destructive disease of oilseed rape. Host resistance has long been considered the most practical and effective means of control, but breeding has been hindered by a lack of effective resistance genes and by the complexity of the resistance in identified sources. This study will provide an overview of progress in developing host plant resistance for clubroot, by evaluating of the sources of resistance in different cultivars and lines, and their utilization in breeding programs.
