Project code: JKI-ÖPV-08-1330
Contract period: 01.04.2015 - 30.09.2015
Purpose of research: Applied research

In August 2014 winter oilseed rape with different insecticidal seed dressing (clothianidin, cyantraniliprole) was drilled on three experimental fields. A fourth field, drilled with seed that has been treated with fungicides, served as a control. In April 2015, a tent (4 m x 10 m) was erected in each field. One bee colony (about 500 bees with a queen) in a mini hive was placed in each of the four tents. These bees could only collect nectar and pollen from the rape flowers in the tent. For residue analyzes following samples were collected from the rape plants: nectar, anthers, blossoms and inflorescences. With regard to the bees pollen loads (collected with a pollen trap), flight bees (collectors), stored nectar and honey bee brood were analyzed.
