Investigation into the infection routs of different mycotoxin producing Fusarium species, the conditions necessary and the interactions between the species concerning type and amount of the mycotoxins produced
Project
Project code: JKI-ÖPV-08-1303
Contract period: 01.11.2011
- 31.12.2016
Purpose of research: Applied research
The acreage maze is cultivated on has increased during the last years. In most cases crop rotation is very limited or maze is even grown in pure plantation. Therefore, the risk of Fusarium diseases has increased dramatically. In case of co-infections with mycotoxin producing Fusarium species interactions may possible resulting in higher toxin concentrations and as a consequence thereof an increased risk potential which should be estimated or even perhaps quantified.
