Purpose of research: Inventory & Assessment
The processing of bioinformatics questions requires in many cases the use of the Linux (operating system), command-line programs and high-performance computers. In addition, it is necessary to run programs in sequence and to connect them via common interfaces. The workflow management system Galaxy provides a way to reduce these requirements utilizing a user-friendly and platform independent user interface. The project will examine to what extent Galaxy is suitable and extendable to answer the relevant bioinformtics questions at JKI.
