Project code: BfR-ZEBET-02-1328-175
Contract period: 01.11.2004 - 31.10.2006
Purpose of research: Applied research

The study is performed to evaluate the isolated perfused bovine udder as a predictive in vitro model for determination of the skin sensibilisation properties of chemicals. Since studies concerning the skin irritation and sensibilisation are statutory/mandatory for drugs, cosmetics and industrial chemicals, the model may contribute to minimise the number of animal studies for this purpose.
