Purpose of research: Demonstration
Farmers will receive 30 percent of their direct payments (greening premium) only if they achieve a sustainable improvement of its environmental performance. The providing of ecological compensation conservation areas serve to maintain and increase biodiversity in agricultural landscapes. The project will also help to recognize the benefit of such measures for biological control. In collaboration with many stakeholders (farmers, nature conservation, landscape management, church) the implementation of biodiversity enhancing measures will be tested and evaluated.
