Purpose of research: Applied research
The topic of this research is the development of trustable diagnosis methods for cryptic (e.g. Phytophthora species) or difficult to allocable tree pathogens like tree rooting fungi. Another example is the ash dieback fungus Hymenoscyphus albidus with the anamorph form Chalara fraxinea which causes massive damages on ash.
