Continuation and extension of phytosanitary ERA net on purposeful orientation and coordination of phytosanitary research (Euphresco)

Purpose of research: Networks and research co-ordination
The projects is aimed at continuing ERA Net for phytosanitary research to improve coordinated orientation and priority setting of national research programmes. It is meant to better use the limited resources of the Member States and to improve the efficiency of phytosanitary research. ERA Net will be joined by several European countries which are either responsible for financing or managing the programmes. Expected results: 1) continuation of comprehensive data survey under various research programmes, 2) elaboration of future research priorities, 3) transnatinal announcements and projects, 4) establishment of a long-term network, 5) inclusion of new partners into ERA Net and support of so far underrepresented fields. Germany's participation allows to have an active influence on research and to have the greatest share in results. Priority setting for phytosanitary research under ERA Net may have an influence on German programmes.
