Cerbios-Pharma SA is a Swiss company founded in 1994 by the merger of BIOFERMENT SA (founded in 1976) and SAPEC SA (founded in 1979). The merger created a new company which today has over 20 years of experience in research, development and manufacture of high quality active ingredients for the pharmaceutical industry. BIOFERMENT and SAPEC continue to exist as divisions of Cerbios-Pharma SA. Cerbios-Pharma SA is located in Barbengo, near Lugano, in the south of Switzerland. The BIOFERMENT Division is mainly active in the field of biological products, whereas the SAPEC Division specializes in pharmaceutical active ingredients obtained by chemical synthesis. Many of Cerbios-Pharma’s production processes are protected by patents. The products of Cerbios-Pharma SA are manufactured according to cGMP standards in the environment of a strong, comprehensive quality system. They are used for the production of oral as well as injectable finished dosage forms. Cerbios-Pharma’s highly qualified personnel are dedicated to providing continuous technical scientific assistance through close and fruitful cooperation and partnership with its customers. As a healthy environment is a basic condition for human health, an important element of Cerbios-Pharma’s policy is to manufacture its products in strict conformance with environmental protection requirements. The products of Cerbios-Pharma SA are marketed all over the world. The main markets are USA, EU and Asia.
