Förderkennzeichen: DFG FOR 666
Laufzeit: 01.01.2006 - 31.12.2010
Forschungszweck: Grundlagenforschung

In FOR 666 Phase I, transcripts and metabolites were identified that confer compatibility in different plant-microbe systems. In FOR 666 Phase II, efforts for the detection of further system-specific and universal compatibility factors will base on comprehensive analyses of the existing transcriptome and metabolome data in combination with new data generated in individual projects. In a systems-biology approach, we will interconnect all transcriptome and metabolome profiles of the various plant-microbe systems in order to describe in a holistic way the biochemical, molecular, and physiological foundation of compatibility. These combinatory and integrative studies will allow the in silico modelling of regulatory networks that characterises compatibility-associated plant reprogramming. The present project will further improve and support net-based communication structure, central data base management and statistical analyses and interpretation of microarray and metabolome data. Additionally we will focus on the development of a user-friendly FOR 666 database front-end with proper documentation to facilitate data access and interpretation with out detailed pre-knowledge of the data structure. This is of special importance as the datasets will be made available to the research community.
