Clinic for pigs, small ruminants, forensic Medicine and ambulatory Service
Research is concentrated on pigs, problems arising from locomotion, reproductive organs, the respiratory tract and the heart-circulation system, enzyme diagnosis of internal diseases, questions of animal protection and the technique of obtaining gnotobiotic piglets. Research on gestosis of sheep has been incorporated into the scientific work of the institute. The clinical teaching is concerned with both the individual animal and the herd. Refresher courses for veterinary practitioners take place each year.
