Nutrient-controlled slurry application
Description:
Specific proposal for a targeted use of manure is still missing the ability to directly measure the ingredients and then being able to control the application on the basis of levels of nutrients. In this project, therefore, the practical testing of a method of planting and environmentally sound application of manure and biogas digester substrates sought. What is new is that a flow-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) sensor in the slurry outlet of a metering device is equipped with integrated slurry tanker. The slurry sensor provides continuous and real-time data on the composition of effluent slurry. Nutrient data for the controlled application of manure sensor are compared with the control electronics in the stored reference variables. The aim is to determine a global calibration, can be measured with the nutrients in pig, cattle manure and biogas.
