Thuringian Institute of Textile and Plastics Research (TITK)
Basing on the research and development works of the 'Institute for Technology of man-made Fibres', the applied research of the TITK basing on the pure textile competence in application of fibres in the textile industry has been developed to a top-modern, worldwide well-known institute for materials research. As a technically oriented research institution the TITK is carrying out fundamental as well as applied research close to the industry. The TITK supports small- and medium-sized enterprises in their innovation works with interdisciplinary scientific knowledge, innovative ideas, knowledge of the industry and with providing of modern technical infrastructure. Objective of this collaboration is the development of technologies and competitive products meeting the individual requirements of the customers. Hereby the results of our work can be applied in various fields of chemistry, plastics and textiles.
