BMEL - Pilot and demonstration projects (MuD-Vorhaben)


Model and demonstration projects (MuD) close the gap between science (research and development) and practice. They focus on the initial application of new, not yet in specific situations of practice applied methods or techniques (step into practice).
On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Food and Agriculture (BMEL), the Federal Office of Agriculture and Food (BLE) supports pilot and demonstration projects relating to biological diversity, plant protection, horticulture and special crops, and animal welfare.

Eligibility criteria:

The promotion is aimed primarily at companies with significant practical self-interest. Another prerequisite for the promotion is, that the appropriate technique and the method has not been tested under field conditions and that the process in case of success will be continued permanently by the applicant at his own expense.
