Institute of Animal Science (ITW)
Institution
Section overview
Description
The ITW consists of six research and teaching groups biochemistry, animal Genetics, physiology and hygiene, preventive health management, animal Nutrition and animal breeding and husbandry. Through the consolidation and integration of competences, the interdisciplinarity of the members can better address research questions in the complex field of animal production. Simultaneously the research groups can focus on innovative research fields in an international context. Subsequently, the high quality of university education by the „Bonn Animal Science“ as an integral part of the system science „agricultural science“ can be ensured in future.
