Since 2002 the University Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery Tübingen has been at home in a bright and friendly new building on the 'Berg' Hospital premises.
Hearing and speaking are the fundamental means of communication for the human race. The specialist field of the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery comprises medicine for the ear, nose and throat, as well as the surgical treatment of diseases and accidents in the head and neck regions. This includes the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the ear, the vestibular apparatus, nose and paranasal sinuses, throat, mouth and esophagus, larynx, trachea and bronchi.
Oncology
The most significant main clinical focus of the University Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery Tübingen, is the diagnostics and treatment of patients with cancer of the larynx, trachea, throat, esophagus, nose and paranasal sinuses, cranial base, salivary glands, and of the face and neck. The Hospital is an international training hospital for these surgical techniques.
