The essence of Animal Breeding is the sustainable and responsible use of animal genetic resources to meet human needs. Our mission is to contribute to a solid bioscientific basis of this endeavor. The research at the Chair of Animal Breeding focuses on the genomics of behavioral, disease resistance and production traits in cattle, swine and chicken.
