Purpose of research: Applied research
The project activities are aimed at developing decision support tools for optimising mixtures of scots pine and native oak species and pine and beech, respectively. This shall be done in order to support the adaptation of forest adaptation to climate change in north-eastern Germany. The project will use the regions 'Barnim-Uckermark' and 'Spreewald-Lausitz' as exemplary area. The decision support is mainly based on the further development and completion of the single tree simulator BWIN Pro.
