Description

The company's name is its manifesto: 'little plant' or 'picco plant' as a Latin-speaker would say. At PICCOPLANT, offshoots are taken from the most elite plants and then placed into sterile glass (Latin: in vitro) in the very best growing conditions, with a special nutrient solution to form more offshoots. This technology is called micropropagation, and the result is completely healthy, virus- and bacteria-free plants - classic biotechnology combined with modern horticulture. The young plants continue growth in our 10,000m² of greenhouses before being raised to various sizes in our outdoor nursery: We supply young plants in 3cm and 9cm multi-trays, along with larger plants in 2L, 3.5L, 7.5L, 15L, or 60L containers.
With over 300 lilac varieties and production of around 750,000 premium lilac plants every year, PICCOPLANT is one of the world’s largest lilac producers. In addition, we carry 170 varieties of rhododendron and over 50 varieties of grasses and bamboo.
PICCOPLANT is a wholesale supplier of cultivated seedlings with customers including professional horticulturalists, those from the agricultural and energy industries, commercial clients, and others. Around 80% of PICCOPLANTS's goods are exported.
