Purpose of research: Applied research
The central points of the EBA-Holz project are the optimisation of simple, partly mobile high-speed measuring technologies that are already on the market, as well as the new development of rapid measurement methods for fuel analysis in wood heating (power) plants, which are more efficient and that can easily be integrated in the plant as a control component. These technologies should enhance the operation of medium and large wood combustion plants by reducing both greenhouse gases (GHG) and other air pollutant emissions. At the same time, process control based on fuel quality or the use of a defined, high fuel quality have the potential to significantly minimize mechanical disturbances and problems in the operation of heating (power) plants and to improve combustion efficiency.
