Purpose of research: Applied research
Using a complex monitoring programm the status of the different life stages of the eel in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is assessed. Based on these monitoring data the development of the eel stock in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern can be evaluated. Furthermore, the monitoring data allow an evaluation of the effectiveness of the implemented management measures to conserve the eel.
