Eurowheat: Fungicide Resistance Network
Project
Project code: JKI-A-08-1256
Contract period: 01.10.2018
- 28.02.2020
Purpose of research: Applied research
Keywords: wheat, Zymoseptoria tritici, fungicide resistance
EURO-RES aims to establish an applied network of researchers from Beligum, Denmark, Germany, Ireland and Sweden focusing on providing greater insights into preventing the spread of fungicide resistance in the wheat pathogen Zymoseptoria tritici. To achieve this goal the project has four major objectives as outlined below. 1. To use the diversity of fungicide sensitivity present in the different Z. tritici populations as a means of optimising methods of detection and dissemination 2. To use the diversity of disease pressure environments and Z. tritici populations present in the different partner countries to evaluate the effectivness of fungicide anti-resistance strategies 3. To provide a greater understanding into the development and spread of fungicide resistance in north European Z. tritici populations 4. To increase collaboration between researchers throughout Europe focused on fungicide resistance in cereal pathogens and to provide a framework for future collaborations
