'To differentiate the market for organic food is increasingly in recent years from a segment in which organic foods offered very cheap under private labels and a premium price segment. This research project aims to provide information on whether and how regional and fair price eco-products can be placed successfully in the premium price segment. This gives organic farmers and their regional partners or fair value in the supply chain decision-making basis for further market development. the competitiveness of organic farming can be strengthened as sustainable.
Contents of this project is an analysis of sales success for the products of the test sales of the projects' pilot project to develop and implement a quality-oriented fair-value concept along the value chain (08OE132) and'' sales analysis for regional and fairly traded organic food ''(08OE105 ). The project is based on an analysis of sales volumes and prices and sales of testing products as well as their closest substitutes in the range of the test stores. Additionally, sales promotion, analyzed in terms of their short-and medium-term sales success. The aim of the project is to provide information for decision-makers from manufacturers and dealers, which are essential for a listing of local and organic food fair in health food stores. '
