Quarantine pathogens constitute a significant problem for agriculture. The objective of this project is therefore to employ a mobile laboratory, the PhenoTruck, and rapid AI-based data analysis to bring a system that identifies quarantine pathogens wherever it is needed: directly to farmers, field edges or a crop region. Private contractors could do this, supporting government crop protection services with their work and services and protecting agriculture from major damage by detecting quarantine pathogens rapidly and potentially all over. A prototype mobile platform for new innovative services will also be developed in the project. It will be based on two key elements: 1. field inspection employing UAV and hyperspectral pathogen detection and 2. field inspection employing on-site molecular pathogen identification in suspect samples detected hyperspectrally.
