Of the German hospitals now use only a very few, especially private clinics and small, organically produced food. How patients evaluate the quality of the food supply and what role it the food supply - and in relation to their health - the food is not known. Could use as a new customer, the organic food on a larger scale, to provide hospital kitchens or catering operations for hospitals in particular. The benefits of organic foods - foods low-pollution, eco-friendly and sustainably produced and great for the environment, nature and people - can hardly be better placed than in the health food these arguments. Therefore, to build on an existing survey in the University Hospital of Freiburg in the project to patients in nearby hospitals (the district of Freiburg) are interviewed. In addition to the patient survey are to the hospitals for their current use of organic food and their experiences, beliefs and plans are asked to use organic food. The surveys are intended to complement the opinion of the clinics for the demand of organic food in the region and to promote the market for the regional supplier of organically grown foods. Cooperating clinics for them to obtain a suitable version of the already existing patient questionnaire, the patients can fill out the self-employed. The results from the returning curves are recorded in computerized form and evaluated and the participating hospitals and the public are provided in an anonymous form.
