The aim is improvement of protein supply and protein quality for poultry feed. This should be done by testing the old/new crop millet (Panicum miliaceum). Test of 32 varieties and lines in exact plots over 3 years on 3 locations (2 in Brandenburg, one in Bavaria). Beside scoring of plant characteristic and yield amino acids will be analysed. One variety will be fed to laying hens in a trial.
