In forest literature there are many appendages of typologies of forest enterprises. In most cases the classification results from ownership type, enterprise size or the main tree species. Model enterprises, which can give information about the effects of changes in the general conditions, are missing. Target of the analysis is to build such model enterprises.
Base data is the Accountancy Network Forestry of the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection. It offers information about the natural situation and the monetary structure of the participant enterprises. The analysis tries to group the enterprises considering the operating profit and the supposed management goal. Starting point are the theories of land rent theory and theory of the highest revenue. The enterprises of the Accountancy Network are grouped on the basis of their age class structure and tree species oriented on the mentioned theories. The groups are build with help of literature analysis and own model calculations. After that it is tested if the groups are also different in their monetary data. The model enterprises are built by regression analysis.
