Purpose of research: Applied research

Goal: The main goal of the project is to improve salinity tolerance and the end-use quality of bread wheat in Central Asia using synthetic wheat for enhanced and sustainable wheat productivity in irrigated and marginal lands. This will diversify the genetic basis of the varieties being grown, increase farm income and hence, improve the livelihood of resource-poor farmers.
