Die provision of wood chips is associated with sometimes severe labour, energy, mechanisational and organisational input. Also the new quality requirements of the EN TC335 fuel standards are only little regarded. The technical processes and the flexibility in the prevailing process chain elements to adapt to these quality requirements are largely uninvestigated.
