Soil properties, carbon and nitrogen turnover in deciduous forest soils with different tree species diversity
Project
Project code: vTI-AK-08-01
Contract period: 01.04.2005
- 31.12.2009
Purpose of research: Applied research
The influence of different deciduous tree species on 1) soil acidity, 2) nutrient recycling via leaf litter and 3) soil C and N dynamics is studied in the Hainich National Park. The project is part of the DFG Research Training Group 1086 'The role of biodiversity for biogeochemical cycles and biotic interactions in temperate deciduous forests'.
