Purpose of research: Applied research
TSEs are believed to be epidemiologically transmitted by the enteral intake of prion containing tissue of infected animals. Of particular concern are brain tissue, spinal cord and lymphatic organ tissues. The project is focused on the development of an easy-to-handle immunoassay for the detection of these particular tissues.
