Purpose of research: Applied research
Viruses and viroids cause a high number of graft transmissible diseases on fruit crops and grapevine. Its characterization is basics for development and validation of detection methods. Molecular data are also needed to improve both conventional and biotechnological breeding. Because of climatic changes and constant development of production techniques continuous research is needed on virus and viroiod diseases.
