Project code: JKI-ÖPV-08-1345
Contract period: 01.01.2016 - 31.12.2020
Purpose of research: Applied research

Analytical protocols for targeted quantification of selected valuable plant components on basis of liquid chromatography will be developed within this project. These protocols will be applied to support breeding projects and -as reference method- to establish calibration models for spectroscopic methods. Work of this project comprises adaption and optimization of known liquid chromatography-based methods described in the literature (HPLC/DAD, HPLC/ELSD, HPLC/RI) and, if necessary development of new methods as well as their validation. The following compound classes/compounds will be quantitatively analyzed in this project: fructooligosaccharides from onion juices by ANP-HPLC/ELSD (ÖPV-1310), carnosol und carnosic acid from sage leaves by RP-HPLC/DAD (ÖPV-1317), rosmarinic acid from balm leaves by RP-HPLC/DAD (ZG-0001), mono- and disaccharides in carrots by ANP-HPLC/RID (ÖPV-1271), C17-polyacetylenes from carrots by RP-UHPLC/DAD (ÖPV-1271), carotenoids from crraots by RP-HPLC/DAD (ÖPV-1271).
