Development of fescue species as bioenergy grass in marginal locations
Project
Project code: JKI-PB-08-1249
Contract period: 01.10.2017
- 30.09.2020
Purpose of research: Applied research
Keywords: Festuca species, grassland, biomass, biogas production
The aim of the project is to pick up the Festuca species, which were previously unprocessed as renewable raw materials, and to use their potential as bioenergy grass for marginal locations. In the completed joint project 'Development of the product line forage plants as biomass supplier - breeding, cutting time, utilization system, conservation and use of forage grasses in biogas production (FKZ 22016209)' the German ryegrass was in the focus of the project. Similarly, in this project, the main agri-sustainable Festuca species will be at the center of research activities.
