Development of novel DNA microarray-based tests for rapid detection and genotyping of chlamydiae
Project
Project code: FLI-IMP-02-IMP 19
Contract period: 01.04.2006
- 31.08.2010
Purpose of research: Basic research
Currently available diagnostic tests are usually 'one-dimensional', i. e. they provide information on a single parameter of the pathogen. However, there is a growing demand for 'multi-dimensional' tests in order to increase information and reduce costs of laboratory diagnosis. This activity is focused on the development of detection methods that allow target DNA amplification and characterisation using DNA microarrays. Moreover, new microarrays for rapid genotyping will be designed.
