The implications of the use of plant-breeding innovations must be analysed in detail and their social, economic and ecological impact must be recorded. The aim is to develop biobased products not only for laboratory use but also for application in agricultural businesses and relevant bioeconomy industry. The plant breeding information will therefore have to be studied comprehensively in the overall system. The 'Innovative Plant Breeding within the Cultivation System (IPAS)' funding measure within the National Research Strategy BioEconomy 2030 is to make an important contribution.
