The program's aim is to support technical and non-technical innovations in Germany in all fields of food and agricultural business. It supports the development of innovative and internationally competitive products, processes and services based on new scientific knowledge. Thematic priorities include: agricultural engineering, plant breeding, plant protection, breeding, farming and health of livestock, safety and quality of food as well as aquaculture, fisheries and forestry. The program has a provisional duration of until 2020, but there is basically no limit.
