Project code: FLI-IVD-08-Ri-0816
Contract period: 01.09.2020 - 31.08.2022
Purpose of research: Experimental development

The interaction between bank voles (Myodes glareolus) and ticks in relation to the transmission of tick-borne encephalitis virus (TBEV) will be investigated in more detail. For this purpose, the natural transmission cycle will be simulated under laboratory conditions. The established model will enable the testing of TBEV isolates under nature-like conditions and therefore reveal possible differences in the viral dynamic of these strains.
