The DLR Rheinhessen-Nahe-Hunsrück is one of six service centers in the rural area division of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture. The tasks of the service centers are rural development, land division and settlement, professional schools, the National Advisory, the experimental system, dietary advice, applied research in viticulture, oenology and phytomedicine and other horticultural and agricultural tasks
