Collaborative project: Improvement of agronomical traits in narrow-leafed lupin (Lupinus angustifolius) - Subproject 1
Project
Project code: 2814102806
Contract period: 01.03.2007
- 31.03.2010
Budget: 151,531 Euro
Purpose of research: Experimental development
Among the three cultivated lupin species, narrow-leafed lupins are able to fill an agronomic gap especially on medium to light soils in Germany, where white and yellow lupins do not provide for acceptable yields. The project aims at the improvement of anthracnose resistance in narrow-leafed lupin. Main aspects are (i) unlocking genetic resources narrow-leafed lupin, (ii) use of novel, effective resistance tests, (iii) development of molecular markers for improved anthracnose resistance.
