Purpose of research: Conferences and Meetings
The project will serve the further development of the Federal Association of Organic Agriculture (BÖL) and provide suggestions for the national implementation of the European Action Plan. It focuses on the social aspects in the development of organic farming. Organic farming stands as one of the many destinations claim that generate the producers and other companies in the value chain of an adequate income. This claim is to be maintained by the current developments in the market for organic products increasingly difficult. In the heart of the scheme is a meeting with stakeholders in the value chain of the organic market as well as representatives from government, associations, academia, consulting, etc. Exposed actors who receive the social demand in a particular way up (or want) to introduce their respective strategies. In an open discussion with the other participants of the conference are to be found together, as may be allowed the actors in the organic market, the social demands of organic farming to meet. The aim of the discussion is to identify ways to help themselves and to identify specific forms of political support. Based on the results of the meeting is drawn up a policy document, which the possibilities of political action - identifies and defines basic features of the desired by the Ökobranche relationship between government and industry stakeholders in the organic sector - especially in connection with the 'European Action Plan for Organic Food and Farming' .
