Collaborative project: Mobile sensor system to consider soil heterogeneity in precision farming in agriculture and horticulture – Subproject 1
Project
Project code: 2815306107
Contract period: 01.03.2008
- 28.02.2010
Budget: 38,000 Euro
Purpose of research: Experimental development
The aim of the project is to transform a common geophysical measurement principle in an electronic measurement system applicable in agriculture and horticulture to detect spatial differentiations of soil properties (soil texture). The digital soil maps generated by the measurement system allow applying e.g. fertilizer and irrigation water corresponding with the ideas of precision farming. A main task of the project is to adapt a measurement device (Fa. Delphin) and to combine it with a rolling electrode system (IGZ/UP). We want to develop a prototype as base of a prospective commercial production of the measurement system.
