"The aim of AgriFusion was to combine data sources (remote sensing, yield recording and digital terrain models) that had previously been used inadequately and separately from one another, with existing data (e.g. data from the realm soil estimate, soil samples) that these sources could be used directly by agricultural businesses. Data fusion methods are used for this. The consortium consisted of GFZ Potsdam, GeoInformationsDienst GmbH, Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University and Fritzmeyer Umwelttechnik GmbH.
The ""AgriFusion"" web module was developed for data interpretation and fusion, the outstanding feature being to define the reliability of the input data and thus to generate a map of the reliability of this data fusion in addition to the result map. In addition to a geodatabase for storing and processing the basic geospatial data, the web module includes a web service component for data integration.
The process was developed as a prototype as part of the project and implemented on a test basis on two large (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Brandenburg) and small-scale companies (Bavaria)."
