Concept Study Introduction of Rapeseed Oil Fuel at Munich Airport

Purpose of research: Applied research
It is the aim of the project to support Munich Airport in the introduction of rapeseed oil fuel in vehicles and stationary engines as a substitute for fossil diesel fuel. Therefor raw material potential and decentral oil mills in the area are to be identified, that are possible suppliers of rapeseed oil fuel. For chosen rapeseed oil fuel suppliers a quality certificate is to be developed, in order to guarantee best product quality. Oil millers should get support in terms of expert advice, training courses, random quality checks and introduction of quality management systems. Further more, Munich Airport should be given assistance in the installation of tank stations for proper storage and delivery of rapeseed oil fuel and beyond that, rapeseed oil fuel quality should be monitored.
