Quantification of the main food components of wood mice using DNA analysis
Project
Project code: JKI-GF-08-1219
Contract period: 01.03.2017
- 31.10.2018
Purpose of research: Experimental development
The main components of the food of wood mice will be determined from droppings by DNA analyses. The method is going to be calibrated in cage trials using small vegetable seeds and validated in the field. This method can help to assess food composition in small rodents for basic ecological studies or for risk assessment non-invasively in the future.
