PathoSafe - Raman spectroscopy for the detection of relevant agro-terrorist agents of security grade 3
Collaborative Project
Contract period:
01.01.2008
- 30.06.2011
Coordinating institution:
FLI - Institute for Bacterial Infections and Zoonoses
For safety and hazard defence at an early stage a rapid detection of bacterial contamination is necessary. Therefore a special method, Raman spectroscopy, will be established for the identification of pathogens in different threat scenarios.
Collaborative Projects
Raman spectroscopy for the detection of relevant agro-terrorist agents of security grade 3
Research projects
- Epidemiological studies as the basis for the risk assessment of agroterroristically relevant pathogens
- Producing standardized sample material with Bacillus anthracis, Burkholderia mallei, and Brucella spp. for Raman spectroscopy and reference analysis using microbiological and molecular biology methods
