Description

The Institute of Food Science (IEW) was launched in 1993. In addition to the diploma course Food Science the IEW established a bachelor's and master's degree course in food science. On IEW are four chairs settled: biochemistry of nutrition, food toxicology, food chemistry and physiology and pathophysiology of nutrition. These four are full professors in teaching by jointly with the German Institute for Nutrition Research appointed professor in the fields of energy metabolism, Gastrointestinal microbiology, molecular genetics, molecular toxicology, pharmacology and vitamin metabolism and an extraordinary professor of Epidemiology.
